My comment in the other thread was in agreement of a comment to up the voting percentage for your votes to count...because of the much lower number of challenge entries these days. It was not even directed at anyone, but there have been numerous comments by numerous members the past few weeks correlating comments made to low votes suddenly received. I don't know how to do it, but apparently the ingenious can figure out who a challenge entry belongs to while still in voting. I dunno!
I would love if the site would return to more encouragement and teaching, but the increased number of very low votes accompanied by no comments unfortunately doesn't foster that type of environment. But...it's part of 'it'. :) |

Ya... I thought .2 seemed like a pretty big dip when already 100 votes in. I didn't do the math, so this was just my gut reaction. |

| This is going to be an interesting voting graph for me once the results are out. 10 great comments with one doubtfull comment Im wondering about. This however not reflected in my scores and I dont think I will be even in the top 30. Never had so many good comments but such a bad score. I dont think most of the voters get the crux of the image... or it is simply a bad image which I suppose is not impossible either :( |

Well I for one cant wait for this challenge to be over, I just dont understand what was so bad about my shot. After 120 Votes, still only one comment aswell. Anyway, took all your advice and did some of my own commenting, so dont shoot me if I wrote something stupid :)

Lots of good comments but a crappy score nonetheless? Could be a bad image too, but if so it usually gets reflected in the comments. So I'm guessing the former. Just how this site rolls.
ETA: Rian, you have a bunch of ribbons and images in the 7.6s on your homepage!!! I doubt you have anything to worry about in the long run :-)

Well, if you entered this challenge and have absolutely no votes yet, then yeah something is terribly wrong. But if you've just entered a challenge in which voting hasn't even started yet...well...and you can always cast votes or at least make comments yourself. That'll knock off a few 0s. |

It looks like you have a score of 4.7547. I think you're looking at the wrong place -- Click on "my home" at the top of this page, and then look on the left hand side of your screen. If should show you your picture, score, etc. :) |

Well - Thanks Susan.. Guess you are right.
I just tested my shot on a friend of mine who also did not get the image. When I pointed it out to him what he missed... he was surprised and viewed the image differently. At least I have 2 favourites out of this pic as well so somebody must like it other than my wife... :) |
