Do you get some kind of ribbon for getting the exact same score on two entries in a row? |

Considering my entry I'm happy with the way the scoring's going on this, I expected this sort of score and the comments are nice.
I have to say with this challenge though I'm quite underwhelmed with the majority of entries, I did hope a few more people would have put more time in to it. There are some great shots, but many (I include my image in this) look like very little effort was put in to me - nothing 'wrong' with that of course, but it's always nice to see a large variety of high quality images from others. |

I'm not sure that's really the case. I'm assuming that people put the time into it, but just didn't know what to do with it. Not many people are flower shooters, and it's hard to come up with something different, unique and inspiring if you're not very used to an extremely popular subject. If you haven't paid much attention to flower shots, it's hard to even conceive of shots like Ursula's. Hopefully everyone who has entered is also voting/looking at the challenge. It's the first step to figuring out what really works and what doesn't. |

Really? I think it's in the way you look at them whether you appreciate them or not. I gave out six 10's and ten 9's, not to mention a boat load of 8's. |

Is this a good score? From your comments, it seems to be a low scoring contest. |
Apparently, Yes. This has been a low scoring contest. |

That is one heck of a voting average you have there. I would love to understand why you vote the way you do.

Others are connecting more with this image than I do. |

You have rated 217 of 217 images (100%) in this challenge.
You have commented on 217 images (100%) in this challenge.
You have given an average score of 6.0323.
I think it was harder to challenge myself to do the above, than to actually enter the challenge! Congrats and good luck everyone. There are some beautiful ones out there! :) |

I think many of us would like to know! Especially since you are posting in a scoring thread. |

(1) I would like to give you an example of my scoring. But it would be meaningless without knowing the score you gave to the same picture. And If I reveal my view of this 'still voting' image, it won't be fair either.
(2) The important thing here is that MY SCORING does not affect your overall chance of a ribbon, so long as I am consistent in my scoring (You betcha! Sure I am).
(3) Bottom line: My scoring method has no adverse effect on anyone's performance in the contest.
I hope it explains. Oh, one final thing, you may demand to know my scoring method, but I am not obligated to reveal it to you. :)

Cant you give an example of one of the Challenges that just finished? |

LOL. As I said...it does NOT affect your chances of winning. Does it?
On a lighter side, just multiply my score by 2, if that helps. But then, you will have to do it across the board.

All you have to do is to look at your own voting average to decide if it is a good score. By your own standards, that is far above average and you should be quite pleased with it.

Well, as long as you vote on EVERY image in that particular challenge in the exact same way, then no, wont effect them winning.
As long as you vote on EVERY challenge then you wont effect whether they reach there Personal Best either, however, if your not, then you could effect that. |

I have no problem with your voting. You have a right to do it your way.
As long as I NEVER EVER see you complain about a score above a 3.2. Better not complain about any score of 5. Since by your own standards, a score like that is WAY above average. |

...in addition, the 5.8ish score he has posted is very high by his standards...hell maybe I vote too high in these challenges.
