Sat here watching one of the Twilight films - why do these things get slated?
Performances are pretty decent, cinematography is good but most of all the consistency of look/the coloration of the films is exceptional.
Quite willing to take the mockery, but I don't mind admitting I like these films! Not my favourites or anything but I don't get why they get slated.....
Throw your jibes (and tomatoes). |

Haven't seen them except for the trailers, which looked too comical. Kristen Stewart does look like a vampire but I'm guessing she doesn't actually play one in the movie, right? I did see the Runaways which she was in. Wasn't a fan but at least the music was decent.

Have you read the books? I think that personally for me and my family, they just didnt hold up, what you envisioned wasnt displayed properly. Tho from my understand the last one was much better but I havent seen it yet. |

That was filmed about 15 minutes from my house. My kids (both girls in the tween and early teen years) think that is the greatest thing ever known to man. |

I was resistant to watch these movies.....someone loaned me the first one....loved how it was filmed....the look of it was unique, and I have enjoyed the series. |

This series of movies has a certain relevance here at DPChallenge that I'm surprised that no one has mentioned yet. Maybe all but Melethia are too new to remember, but Joey Lawrence was the photog for the promotions for these movies.
This screen shot is from his website:

i never read the books or saw the movies, and do not have the desire. What i can't fathom is when i walk through buldings at work and grown women have posters of the movie on their cubicle walls and signs that read "team edward" or "team jacob".....all i can think is how about "team get a life" |

Yeah, now that you point it out, I agree it's not relevant. I just thought that I'd throw it out there since it seems that there has been such a turn over here at DPC since what I consider were the good 'ole days when Joey, Gringo, Heida, Kiwiness, and many more greats frequented this site and a lot of the (relative) newbies don't remember.
I miss them being here.

You make me laugh and you make a good point. I suppose I'm just a little bit nostalgic and should be more grateful for the "new greats". All of the ones that you mentioned certainly are a good addition to DPC.
edit for typo

And, yes, I've noticed you and your work for awhile now.
That's the thing about Joey and you. I was so impressed that with his, and your, talent from the early days. I hope for the same success for you if that is what you want.
edit add: I told my son yakatyou when he was 12 about this kid who seemed to be a little before his time. My son entered a few challenges but lost interest. It wasn't for him, but the point is that I saw what seemed to be real talent in Joey years ago, and I am impressed with how photography has enabled him to live his life. I am, however, a little disappointed that he doesn't frequent this website much anymore.

not to mention that if my clutch had gone out by Kiwiness or Joey's house, i'm not so sure they would have put me up for the night like Jen did ;P |
