The cumulative effects of crashing home prices and lost jobs continues to erode the savings of many families. Rising food and energy prices are "taxing" the poor and middle class beyond their ability to cope. Why, in the aftermath of a financial mess that generated hundreds of billions in losses, have no high-profile participants in the disaster been prosecuted? Where is the outrage? Unfortunately for all of us, this will not end well. Sort of a pessimistic outlook. I'd rather tell you that it will all be okay and the economy will recover and thrive...and society will not become disorderly. But, I can't get past my assessment that many structural changes are in our future.
