Didn't someone do that just to prove that AA wouldn't score well in "his own challenge"?

Nope. It was my idea. I wanted (hoped) to prove that he WOULD score well. I suggested to Langdon that we enter a lesser-known, non-landscape Ansel shot with a spoof account and see if he'd make the cut, Langdon agreed, and to everyone's gratification, Ansel DID finish well :-)

Not sure what I would have voted for this one, but in 2005 I didn't knew who Ansel Adams was and I never heard about DPC. |

Yes - a Henri Cartier-Bresson original was used in the first Street Photography challenge, but the DQ was not quite as direct as to the status of the photog...just the typical boilerplate 'must be taken during the challenge using a digital camera"

There was a street photography challenge a couple of years back where one of the entries seemed out of place to me, so I did some hunting and it turned out to be a photo Ansel Adams shot of a Japanese man in an internment camp during WWII. It's no longer on DPC, but I believe it was this photo. I've also seen this Ansel photo in a challenge. In both of these cases they were spotted as Ansel pics during the challenge and removed.
