It is definitely not original but knowing that it is a generic brand. Is this a good deal for the kind of product?

I have no idea how good that particular grip is (I have a Polaroid brand one and it's mostly fine, except that the IR sensor that the remote activates has an occasional issue with my monitor and the sun activating it...)..
But... If I'm not incorrect, that looks to have a built in intervalometer!?!!? If it works well that would be AWESOME. So, I'd really like it if you report back here on your experience with this if you do buy it.. I'm most certainly interested in on myself now...
As for the deal? yeah it's excellent - if it works as advertised. The batteries? meh, 1600mah.. :( I like my set of 2300mah bp-511's.... :) Two of those are ~=~ to 3 Canon brand BP-511 batteries. Still 1600 is better than 1100, and you'll need some batteries anyhow, so these are OK, but I'd recommend looking into some super high cap replacements, it's an oddly pleasant feeling to fill up 30GB of card without needing to replace the batteries. |

If you can risk the $58. It's certainly worth trying out, especially with that intervalometer on board. I have a third party grip that I got as a gift and it works great. "Bower" brand, which I have only seen at Fry's electronics, so I suspect it's their house brand.
