I will not submit a photo I know is crummy just so I have an excuse to hit the up date button.....

I knew it was below average and yet I entered it anyhow. What was I thinking?

You were thinking that everyone else might have done the same, thus making your shot's *relative* quality that much better. ;)

It is okay to make these submissions. They inspire you to correct the error by trying to outdo yourself on the next challenge.

At least you knew what you were getting. I entered a shot I thought would do fairly well (low 6) and yet it's doing very poorly. Sometimes you just never know.

Kinda funny... that became my mantra after my last submission, and as a result, I've become so self-critical that I haven't entered a photo in a very long while. I think there's got to be a middle ground. Having said that, the recent 'words' challenge made me glad I didn't submit... mine was really bad comparatively. Hmmm.

Really, I had a good photo and realized about an hour before deadline that I'd not followed the basic rules. So in a sad and pathetic effort I submitted something I entered a lesser photo. I shouldn't have and am getting the poor score I deserve. I am relieved to hear others made the same mistake on the editing of this challenge.

I'm going to re-read the basic rules and then head out to purchase large amounts of chocolate to console myself errr.... work on the next challenge.

Good plan, Debi. I've managed to have an entry in at least one challenge every week since I joined in February. Some of those really should have been held back, and I'm starting to recognize the difference. I suspect a lot of people are doing the same just to participate.
