The only thing I really don't like about applications like this one is that you have to use your render engine... why not make a for lack of better terms a new and better displacement plug-in for 3dsmax that so that the users can use their own render engine to maintain lighting setups in their current scenes. Ive seen a lot of applications come and go like this one over the years and very few have succeeded, actually I can only think of one that has kind of succeeded but even at that its is seriously lacking because you have to still export your current scene so you can import it and add the terrain and what not.

Hi Dave, I can't speak for the developer but this is by far the least expensive of all the terrain apps I have experience with (Terragen [except for the limited free edition], Vue, Carrara, etc.). It's a great introduction to terrain generation and uses Yafaray for rendering. I understand version 2.5 is coming any time; I'm looking forward to seeing what he's added.
BTW, if any of you entered the contest and got an email error, I increased my mailbox size.
