I was just reading about The Art of the Animated GIF. I'm not certain if this is something we could do here, but it would be neat. |

A hawk sat (relatively) still for a while yesterday on a high branch down the street ... shot handheld with a 432mm (35mm EQ) lens ... cropped down to DPC-size ...

Not my work, unfortunately. senorgif has lots, though this is a giffed video, so it doesn't really apply, but it makes me smile.

I just figured out that my video editor can export to Animated GIF ... I have a couple of videos which I made from 100 time-lapse exposures -- it might be interesting to compare those, exported back out to GIF, with creating the GIF from the original frames (which would have to be batch-resized first).
