Taken last Sunday during a walk in the forests of the St.Jansberg nature reserve in Gelderland, Holland. That's near Nijmegen. During WW2 there was heavy fighting in these forests between the Germans and the Allies. Much of the forest was destroyed then.
E1 with 11-22mm

Thanks for the information on the forest, very interesting. I love forest pictures, and particularly path and trail pictures (I have whole series of these, some in installations). I like yours because you've explained some history behind it. I don't know if you're looking for critique, but I would have liked to see less noise reduction + sharpening in this, as I think it has smoothed the detail too much. On the other hand, it's resulted in that "hand-painted" look that people often want.
