I know this has been asked over and over, and that many members have been well past beginner stage for many years BUT I will ask it anyway :)

I looked at some Youtube Photoshop videos but the pace was too slow for me. I'd like to learn basics very fast (it is basically a refresher and update as I used Photoshop 7 years ago) and move on quickly to intermediate level. I guess advanced level is ongoing learning of new tricks and features.

What are the best Photoshop CS5 resources for fast track learning beginner to advanced level? What books? Which Web sites? Any good downloadable PDF tutorials?

Some of the ones I'm using...

They have several channels in Adobe TV, including this one: Learn Photoshop CS5
Photoshop Essentials
Lynda.com - Very good video tutorials. I've been watching "Photoshop CS5 for Photographers" by Chris Orwig
Kelby TV - Several shows, including Photoshop

Books... My favorite ones...

The Adobe Photoshop CS5 Book for Digital Photographers

Adobe Photoshop CS5 for Photograpgers

Kelby's is more "relaxed", explain things in plain english... Evening is a little more technical... I like both...

There are other sites and documentation I check on Internet, but these are the main ones...

And, as I'm sure other people will tell you... Practice, practice, practice... It's the best way to learn... :)

Thanks for all links! I was just looking at Amazon and these were the books that came on top. I'd better get them as the "Using Photoshop CS" manual I got in PDF format is the most boring way of learning! :)
