So, in my comment to my favourite image in the Fine Art II challenge, Anita's wonderful " Once upon a time ", , i said it reminded me of a Rocky Schenck photogaph. High praise indeed as i do love his images. I thought i'd post a link for others who may not have seen his work. So, you can see a selection of his images here and, for anyone interested, i highly recommend his book.

How true... Anita is creating wonderful images with her Coolpix.
Here is another from Anita's portfolio that is very Schenckish, yet with a personality all its own:

		| Well, Anita explains her process in her notes to her image. As to Rocky Schneck, there is an interview with him herein which he explains some of his process whilst keeping a lot close to his chest but basically its seems to be both 35mma and medium format film with filters and diffusion and some darkroom manipulation. And a wonderful photopgraphic eye and buckets load of talent of course. |

Ok so here I was googling Rocky Schenck, because my admiration for his work, and I find this thread on the google engine that clive_patric_nolan started in April this year, and Lo and behold I found this!

Well I was thinking it would be great to imitate his style on DP, is anyone else interested?

Anita's "Once Upon a Time" made a tremendous impression on me. Back then I started my comment with:
"Please turn the page so we can follow ...."
 I am following her since.
Personally, I prefer to see her images instead of poorly done blurry pictures in the manner of
Rocky Schenck and with a clear goal of getting a ribbon. But it's certainly worth trying ... |
