Well those are two of the most common ones in use out there. Especially on this site. A lot of people here recently either upgrades from version 1 of Silver Efex Pro or went and got version 2 for the first time. I still have version 1 and have used it for a long time, but will probably grab the upgrade at some point in time. I have the whole Topaz suite and they make other useful products for various uses, but Topaz Adjust is the place to start with their products when it comes to overall processing.

I also have the complete onOnesoftware suite...Perfect Photo Suite 5.5. I started with just Phototools before getting the whole package. I use it A LOT and very happy with it.

Of course there are other NikSoftware products such as Color Efex Pro...I have version 3, as well as their new HDR Efex Pro. I tried the demo of that, and it was ok, but I have used...and have the lastest Photomatix Pro 4.0 and like the added control I have with it. Some people find that software more intimidating and have opted for HDR Pro which is in my opinion the second best option...but number one for others. I just takes a different approach and you can get stunning results with that as well. That's also a program that many here have recently acquired.

I also like AlienSkin Exposure 2. It's one of my favorites for more vintage film effects and looks. I have a slightly older version, but will probably upgrade that as well in the near future.

I can do pretty much anything the plugin's can do in photoshop itself as I'm a long time user. Using layer masks, curves, hue/sat etc. you can do pretty much anything. It's just more time consuming and takes time to learn. Plugin's save a lot of time...that's for sure.

Probably others I use that I haven't mentioned, but those are pretty much the main ones you'd find in heavy use out there.

My most used plugins are Topaz Denoise, Topaz Adjust and Nik Silver Efex. I use Topaz Detail a bit as well, but not nearly as much as the others. I have some other plugins as well, but they get used very little. Some of them were freeware and I use them only rarely when they are appropriate for what I an trying to get out of a shot.

Nik CEP 3, Topaz Bundle, Portrait Professional, Lucis, some occasional use of Flaming Pear, Twisting Pixels, AutoFX and Akvis Camo. But then, I am a plug-in junkie. And an action junkie, font junkie, brush ....scrap that...I'm just a photoshop junkie.

There's so many plug-ins out there that it's hard to stop adding them to the "toolbox".

Alien Skins Exposure 2 - which I find I can't live without for consistency in style when doing wedings and portrait sessions.

Imagenomic Portraiture - great for skin smoothing... some photographers might not like it, but my clients do.

Topaz Adjust - well, you have it, you know what it does :)

I have others, but those are the three I use most often.

The ones I use all the time:

Nik HDR Efex Pro and Silver Efex Pro 2.0 ΓΆ€” Topaz Detail, DeNoise, and Simplify ΓΆ€” OnOne Photo Tools 2.5 ΓΆ€” Focus Magic (for rescuing slightly out-of-focus images or areas of images; Topaz has a plugin that does the same job but I already owned Focus magic and it works fine for me)

I have others, but these are the ones I use regularly. I'm a recent convert from Photomatix Pro to HDR Efex Pro, BTW...

Yes, Topaz InFocus...very impressive app when used correctly. Can really save some borderline images when it comes to those that are a bit soft or not quite in focus. Never used Focus Magic, but if Robert says it works fine then that's good enough for me. :)
