I've got an epson r1900 with a CIS system from inkjet fly. I use it mainly to print stuff for my graphic design processes. On a few rare occasions when I'm feeling particularly spunky about a photo I've taken, I'll splurge and print an 11x17 or so print of it, or multiple smaller prints. Even with the CIS, and printing 99% matte, the upkeep from the CIS (constant cleaning cycles) cause me to run out of GO like crazy. I read online a while back that you can change some setting somewhere and it won't print the gloss optimizer from one end of the page to the other (good for when I'm printing an 8x10 on larger paper), instead, only where specified.

Anyone able to offer any more information, or a link? I've tried googling, but with my search terms I just end up with a ton of shopping options, or reviews.
