I wanted to enter the selective desaturation chalenge, but was unable due to family illness, I was out today and got this photo, and just so happen the guy up top had the same colors on. Can you give me any ideas how I could have made this better. I haven't done a lot of this, but I really like the look. What I did was make a layer , desaturate, then history brush the colored areas back to original, and cropped. Would this have done well in the challenge, or is it missing something ?

Hey,

I like the shot however there are some distracting elements to it. For instance, the car with the open door... I really like the line of people waiting to get into the yellow building. the car really takes away from it. The guy on top with the yellow shirt also a bit distracting, altho not sure if you wanted it to be that way. Perhaps crop a bit tighter too to take away from the left a bit.

Goos stuff tho!
