I've been going through hell digging through all the crap online to find an internal card reader that uses USB-3.0 as the transfer interface. Does anyone here know of one? I've searched Newegg unsuccessfully, as well as googling till my head started hurting.

USB 3.0 is so new on the market that there are very few systems or peripherals that support it yet. You have a new system with USB 3?
It's backward compatible with USB 2.0, so you can just toss a v2 card reader in there until USB 3 card reader are available.

It is for a desktop system.
I'm running a dual boot of OSX and Windows 7 (in a hackintosh set up). My mobo has support for USB3 (and two), but I'm missing support for firewire (400&800) as well as esata ports. The fastest thing available to me right now would be the USB 3.0. I know I could go with a 2.0 system, but I'd really love to experience the speed increase, as well as not have to worry about tearing apart my PC (again) just to upgrade in a few months.
I've seen external card readers (I think), and I'm probably going to go that route.. I just would have preferred the cleanliness of having it actually IN the desktop.

I found at least two in literally 5 secs. using Google. Must have been some kind of hell you were going through. LOL.
1) USB 3.0 Card Reader
2) USB 3.0 Carder Reader 2
There are more. Just Google USB 3.0 internal card reader and scroll through.

I'll try again. I kept finding USB 2 card readers that had an USB3 port in the front. I know I was tired earlier, but dang, I didn't realize I was blind as well.
