on the Freedom challenge and realized that the photo that I was about to submit didn't fit the challenge after all. I'm bummed because I was so please with the way this had turned out. I'm submitting it here as an alternative. This is the A-Bomb building at Hirosema, the only building left standing in the city. It was such a moving sight.

Now.. I'm off to figure out what to do now for the Freedom Challenge!

Yeah, that did turn out nice, Debi. I've never been that far south, but I think our older daughter might have a field trip there next year. I'll see if they allow dads to accompany them. :-)

This one is going to be very "challenging". I think the outtakes are going to be at least as interesting as the entries. Great work, you guys!!

Hi Philip
This is the only picture I've had a chance to play with since we got home. My hard-drive crashed and burned about 15 minutes after sat down at the computer. Didn't even get the opportunity to download my photos to look at them. I love technology -- when it works!

If you get the opportunity to go with Lauren -- go! Hiroshima is a beautiful place and the people are very different than in Tokyo.

Wow, that's not good. Hope you didn't lose any of your images from the trip.

I will definitely make it down to Hiroshima sometime before we leave Japan. It looks great, though I imagine that people everywhere are different from the people in Tokyo. ;-) Good luck with your hard drive!
