For right now I'm keeping my score to myself. It's not great by some standards around here, but for me and the slump I've been in lately it's marvelous!

Just remember that some of the most intriguing photographs in here won't ever make it to the front pages in challenges. It's not the scores that matter but, the comments and the feeling that you get as a photographer from your work that really matters. The scoring in here seems to reflect a taste for a certain type/style. Those who achieve that style...get the ribbons and front pages. Those who dare to have their own style, get punished by lower scores but, it's not a reflection of your work as a whole. Well of course being happy with my own work, my own style is what I want.
BUT, every now and then getting good scores sure does feel good ;-) !!!!!

Up to a 5.5? yesterday

It's been a brutal downward slide. At vote 56 I was at 6.77. At vote 100 I'm at 6.37. Lately I've been more used to slow rises over the week, but not this one.
