has this happened to anyone else?

I began the Free Study with a 1 and two 2's. During the week my score rose from the ashes with really nice comments
and into almost respectable territory [for me] of 5.6. Today, I am tumbling back down with every vote. Is this a trend
with people who vote early and late? I had thought for a while that submitting something that was a bit out of the norm
was working out. Today, I think not.

Voting doesn't really follow a pattern, and those who think it has only get worried about any patterns they think they see. Don't sweat the small stuff, shoot for you and be happy about it :)
Sometimes you drink the bar, and well, sometimes the bar, it drinks you.

Free Study voting is generally harder due to the increased number of entries. You'll find that pretty much any challenge with more entries has more competitive voting. But there's something to be said for going in a different direction, so take that with you.

Read all the recent threads on voting statistics. There is no conspiracy. Humans are designed to try to find patterns in things (evolutionary stuff related to survival), but any trends you think you see in voting are pure coincidence.
