| My granddaughter managed to snag my camera strap from off the server in my dining room and slam my camera down about 2 feet to the hardwood floor. Still feeling a little sick to my stomach. The camera seems to be working but the lens (28-135) keeps sticking at about 70mm and can't seem to auto focus (though manual focus works). I think I'm going to have to start saving for a new lens. Anyone have any idea at all what it costs to fix something like this? |

Man, that stings!! I fear the day I kill a favorite piece of hardware.
Repair, regardless of what is wrong, usually seems to be about $250 from Canon, although this could theoretically change.
I can fully recommend the 15-85 as a superior lens, albeit an EF-S lens. *shrug* Crappy..... |
