I'm posting this now as this has been dropping since it was 6.4 at 12 votes so I expect to say good bye to the 6's soon. I had actually hoped this would have been my 3rd entry that reached a 6 but realistically I'm just happy it's scoring so well.

I made the same mistake, except I happened to shoot one shot in JPEG. Luckily, although not great, the score is decent. But we'll see as the week progresses.

I was at 6.11 with 26 votes, which was incredibly exciting since I was guessing a 5.4 or so on this one.

But I'm on my way down, I guess.

I don't expect great things from this, but it was a fun challenge to shoot for. I wish we do this challenge every other month. I think it reminds people that you can have an effective shot with a cluttered background. I keep thinking that I have to have stark backgrounds for my shots, because they do better...

I'm so happy that I can take my camera OFF RAW + jpeg now!! I left it on for the past 4-5 days in case I came across something. So I've been getting double in everything. :)

So I'm still a little new to all of this - is a 6+ score good then? Judging by everyone's comments, feels like it is.

Depends on the kind of challenge and the number of entries. In general, I would say a 6+ is a good score and may net you a top 10. At the upper end of the 6's and into the 7s you're maybe looking at ribboning.

somewhere around 5.5 is the site average. For my own purposes, I consider any challenge that I score a 6 or higher a very happy success. :D
