I went out to shoot for the street challenge today and shot in Raw + JPG mode (Or the Raw + quarter circle shape L mode on the menu) and my camera recorded two jpg images. Is anyone else getting that when using this mode or am I doing something wierd or am I missing something?
Thanks. |

One of the "jpg" files is actually a preview file so the camera can display the RAW image on the the LCD. You'll find there's a RAW file on the card too.

I can only guess you might have not been shooting in a "creative mode". Did you have the mode dial set to that green rectangle?
eta: Robert's info is more likely.

I thought I had this a while back too...
It happened when I was viewing the shots on the computer with the camera attached to the PC via the USB cord. I guess it has something to do with the software that is reading the images from the camera.
When I removed the SD card from the camera and used a SB adaptor connected via USB to the PC then I could see both RAW and JPEG.
Is that any help? |

Thanks for that. I was hooked up the same way, perhaps that is the issue. I will have to try to download through Digital Photo Pro instead of direct download via USB. I don't have an adapter, but maybe I can find one somewhere. |

Glad it helped. Apaptors are pretty cheap and common too so it shouldnt be a problem to find one |
