This image has never seen PS!
I did minor adjustments in capture one and changed
the output to grayscale and this was the result.

I still don't like baby pictures. But it's a very nice shot.

P.S. And after voting on the Purple challenge, if I see another flower, I'm gonna puke.

Great detail in the eyes. I feel it could benefit a little from USM in PS. Do you still have the original colour version?

LOL - it's true that parenthood does flip some sort of baby-picture switch! And I'm with ya on the flowers!

Now on to Dave's photo... I like this shot because it captures her(?) expression very well - and what an expression! If she could talk I can just imagine hearing something like, "umm, excuse me - I don't mean to be rude but could you conceivably point that thing elsewhere 'cuz I'm no longer impressed!" The only improvement I can suggest would be just a wee bit of fill flash to illuminate her lovely face.

(If your baby is a boy than I apologize for the sex typecast :-)

here is a color version,
I didn't like the color because her toy was
bright yellow thus creating the yellowish tones on
her face.

I take so many pictures of my daughter Alara, that by the time
she is 5 she is going to think that she is a supermodel!:D

Ditto for my 8 yr old son, Rain. He's just so dang cute! And he looks like such a beach boy with his blonde hair, blue eyes, and tan skin. The kid got lucky as he certainly didn't get his coloring from me (red hair, hazel eyes that tend to green, and pale, pale, pale skin). And boy does he ever act silly for the camera now!
