... to anyone who was offended by my comment that their shot 'did not meet the challenge brief' - in the June Free Study!!

I've just re-read my birth certificate and realised that I am no longer an 8 year old prankster and I have subsequently signed myself up for community service. I think I must have lost it while browsing so many shots last night.

Feel free to abuse me in this thread!

Cheers
Jon

I was wondering what that was all about :P

....and I thought I was the prankster. I didn't even get a didn't meet the challenge comment :(

Don't punish yourself too much. Those, like myself, with a sense of humor, had no trouble seeing it for what it was -- harmless fun.

BTW: Thanks for the comment, they were few and far between this time around, and yours was the most helpful of the bunch.

My entry is the lowest scoring, lowest placing, fewest commnent getting and tied for lowest percentile challenge finisher I have yet entered. It did not do very well at all in the challenge, but it is a hit as far as I am concerned. You see, I set a goal for myself this challenge; that I would only enter if I could find a shot that communicated an emotion strongly enough to be the focus of the photo; and all three commenters made me feel they got it.

Thanks again (and to the other two as well).

I actually had a laugh about that comment. And I am sure everyone else too would have got the joke.

I just thought it was your sense of humour Jon - well it made me chuckle when I read your comment!!

Once I saw who the comment came from I was like, "OK, ha ha funny joke" :) I can understand the madness trying to comment on so many shots. Thanks for the little extra added later. My shot was a HUGE flop and with only 2 comments, at least I have a little clue as to why. My abstract didn't come off as so abstract after all. :-P Thanks Jon!

I thought I'd post this as I got a number of irrate PMs and someone removed me from their favorites!! :D

I'll go back and comment properly when I get the chance as I had no time yesterday - except to do copy and paste and vote!!

I was going to PM you, but then realized nobody could actually say that and mean it. Figured it had to be a joke. Glad to see it was.

I saw that last night when browsing through the entries and was really hoping it was a joke. :)

I was very offended...I didn`t GET a comment from you !!

I did see your comment on a few images and it seemed quite clearly a joke ..however,maybe it`s the type of humour that doesn`t "travel" well.

Nice company your keeping in the challenge placings incidentally :)

I hope people take my witty comments the right way. Some things about photos are just funny. Like the photographer who photographed an Intel processor on an AMD motherboard.

Edit: Needs to be gender neutral to be PC!

I love it, great joke! I'd love to see the PMs you got!

How many different names were you called?

I think that we need to take our vitamins, seems the group is a bit irony deficient.

I just thought maybe you thought one of my other photos was my best photo of the month. LOL
Thanks for the comment anyways.

Jacko kicks Imagineer in the sack, then gives him a bag of frozen peas because he knows he's actually a good guy.

I do! The apology is even funnier or would that be more funny?!

That was a good shot - and no cold veg is going to bring this swelling down - I've just been viewing Dr Jones portfolio! :D
