Let's not start spreading vicious rumors here. It's 5.48! 0.02 off the proverbial median. But I do agree I voted higher on this one. I kept a pretty loose interpretation of sentinel and almost always let the picture do the talking. However, one picture in particular I had to ding although I thought it was excellent. I just couldn't see it as reflecting the challenge.

For this challenge, my average vote dropped well below my usual forgiving nature. Lately, I have begun to assess images as a more critical thinker and I weigh photos differently now than in the past. I can't decide if that's good or bad yet.
No single image really stood out to me as a DNMC except...that atrocious image of YOU dressed up as GROG!
Did Wendy take that photo? No wonder she got a 4...

SORRY! I was so carefully wording my post :) that I was slow and your post finished earlier than mine hence the unfortunate timing and the wrong conclusion! You have done a lot to save our scores so badly severed by the narrow minded interpretation by a small band of heavy handed trolls! (well, this is too carefully worded again! ;)
I went to bed (Australian EST) with 5.8, now I am slightly over 6. Things are improving! :)
PS Ironically this post has again hit the entirely wrong sequence! I'd better go and take some photos of a marble in a bean stack!

You are imagining things or someone is hijacking my schtick. I did think of doing that, since Grog WOULD guard his cave to protect his females and younglings. Didn't do it, however. Couldn't find any good approximation of a cave.

They liked mine because I got a 2. If you are quick enough you can sometimes catch them voting by looking at profiles of people online... :)

I really feel like my image is super underrated. Sure, its not the epitome of 'Sentinel' but its not a shoe horn either, and I think the subject is sharp, with good colors and a pleasing composition. I am really not understanding the score. |

At about 15 votes I was near 6.8. At 35 votes, 5.8 (grrr). Now:
