Yes, but... "...The basic 4 elements, Earth, Water, Air, and Fire - include them all in one shot." I have a pretty good idea, but I'll need some luck.

Arghhhh!! I just edited my photo and lamented over the fact that I had areas I wished I could clean up.....went to submit and realized it is advanced editing and I can clean it up!! Back to the drawing board.

I think I have an idea for this one.

Does wind have to be wind (you know blowing etc etc) or can it just be air (as such)?

Thanks

Yeah, I have this question too....what would constitue "air" since it's all around, really.

I'd say air is just that.....since we can't see it, I don't think you really need to "show" it in a photo. For example, if you take a photo of a fire on the beach you'll have all 4 elements since there's fire, the beach which is earth, water and air which is all around.

Obviously, air will be present, so no one in good conscience can mark DNMC for lack of air. It's hard to show "air movement", but if one can, I think it would be a plus.

I had a clever idea for this challenge, but I'm rather disappointed with the results. At this point I think I'm just going to sit this one out, I don't have the energy to keep toying with it to get a quality shot.

If you could find a good forest fire in the middle of a windy thunderstorm downpour you'd probably get the blue! LOL!

As far as the ancients are concerned, the Sun was a Fire Elemental. Trees and animals, all bodily things basically, are Earth Elementals Anything gaseous is an Air Elemental, and anything liquid is a Water Elemental, essentially. Think of them as solids, liquids, gases, and plasma states.

I got all my elements together and entered my shot. Now to see how the voters accept it.

I'd accept any physical form of water...liquid, vapor, ice, snow, sleet, etc. Doesn't need to be liquid form to be the element "water". By the same token, "earth" could be mud or lava. Doesn't need to be solid ground to be the element "earth".

Can fire just be some hot air?
