There's a Holga preset, way down at the bottom of the presets list. Look for it. Pinhole, too.

ETA: I see Richard beat me to it.
ETA2: A lot of those presets on the downloads page are already in my edition of SEP 2.0
ETA3: I was wrong, the Holga preset is missing, it's in SEP 1 ΓΆ€” however, Nik has instructions on their website on how to move presets from 1 to 2...

I wasn't going to plunk down $99 for an upgrade, but you guys are starting to convince me.

You won't regret it, this is absolutely revelatory. It's like stepping back into an honest-to-god darkroom, except on steroids. I haven't had thin much fun in ages. The program's a quantum leap forward. |

Sort of a test. I created a preset for the Colorado Mountains. It will be a starting place for my b&w conversions from color images. Just an efficiency thing for future photography. I'm more than happy to share this preset.
Original: Neutral: Colorado Landscape:
Colorado Landscape Preset for SEP2: Colorado Landscape
So, if this works, I'm hoping others will share their presets. |

It's much faster, improved interface, and you can group control points. I've used Nik Silver near daily since early 2009. I'm glad I upgraded.
I've also noticed that the values of the sliders are not equivalent to version 1. There is far more subtlety in the brightnes, contrast, and toning sliders. This is a definite plus. Nik Silver was already powerful, and they found a way to make it better. |

That works... Now I have to figure out how to get a link up for my "deadfall" preset...

I have sent "Winter Deadfall" to SC and asked for a ruling on the legality of the border...

Will you guys stop putting stuff up there and encouraging us to spend our hard earned money. :-)
I have been waiting to buy SilverEfex for a while as I'm keen to do more B & W photography. |

Robert is correct. This is amazing software - I feel like I have the control of the darkroom again but with no smell of chemicals!
Here is my first edit using a quick home-built custom pre-set.

Just ordered my upgrades for Silver EFex, Viveza 2, and a purchase of HDR Efex as well. Been putting those last two off for some time, but the new features in Silver Efex got me jazzed up. Used the Coupon Code "SAFARI20" that I found by googling, got 20% off the lot of them.
Downloading now!!

Just gotta say: Silver Efex 2 is SO worth it. So many upgrades, new features, and more user-friendly things. I particularly like the "Amplify Whites" "Amplify Blacks" sliders on the control points (makes me feel like I am working with my variable contrast enlarger on vc paper, burning just the blacks or just the whites, again!). The "Fine Structure" is a welcome addition. The vignette implementation and features are much improved. Borders are cool, and the ease of creating custom presets is sweet.
The ability to link control points is well implemented and useful (perhaps even more generally useful in Viveza 2). The viveza 2 upgrade is not so chock full of new tools, but still worthwhile.
And ditto to all those who mentioned the History browser features. REALLY nice.

I downloaded the update for Viveza 2 prior to installing Silver Efex Pro 2 and now it's asking for my license key number. I registered my Nik stuff through my work email address and so can't access the purchase remotely. When I log into the Nik Website, the FAQ says I will find the serial numbers of all my Nik products and although they all show as registered, the only key I can see is the newly bought Silver Efex Pro 2 .
Anybody else able to see their License keys when they log into Nik - as Nik says you can in their FAQ?
Thanks

I tried logging in, but it only showed silverefex. However, it's possible that viveza is in my husbands name...

Yes, when I log in, I see all my registered Nik products with license code for each. I've done this from two computers... home office and work. But, with ONE email address.
As an aside, not necessarily related to paulbtlw's post: Two installs are allowed per license. I haven't tried the third install (on a family member's laptop). |

Another SEP2 preset to share. This one is for wildlife shots in the snow. It's not meant to be the ultimate. Just a jumping off place for purposes of efficiency.
Original: Neutral: Wildlife Snow:
Downloadable preset: Wildlife Snow
To add this to your custom presets, simply import the preset from within SEP2. |

I'm beginning to have a sinking feeling that I have used different email accounts at the various times of purchase - including one that has since been cancelled... An original ISP that I hadn't used for years (a dial up account no less)
Might be a problem. |

Contact Nik's customer service, they are good. Won't be the first time they've encountered this issue.

Agree - I believe I had the exact same problem. Though it may have been with Photomatix... Anyway, I'm sure they'll help you out. They're very good with customer service. |
