8500 keepers in 7 months with the 10D, no idea how many I threw out, but it must be about the same sort of number.

I carry the 10d everywhere, even down to the local shops - you never know where the opportunity will hit ;-)

Alright, Let me rephrase.

144 days, 4350 shots, 811 in my "keepers"--That's

30.2/shots day
5.6/keepers day

So, I keep 18.9%

How do you use it (ACDSee)? I've been test driving it this month to see if I can make it work for me. The thing I love is that its super fast at viewing pictures full screen. Beyond that, I haven't been able to make it "work" the way I want. I want to be able to browse through the photos in the viewer and tag or categorize them, but haven't been able to figure out how in a way that's quick, intuitive and easy.

You will find a HUGE wealth of information (AND rants) on their forum. I followed it for quite a while when I first had it. There are some bugs, but in the end, I decided it was the overall best out there for my needs. I think the feature you are needing is coming out in the next release (v. 7). If you need any help, please feel free to PM me. I am not at home right now, so can't actually play with the screens.

I used to take about a cd-r's(700mb) worth of pictures a week until recently I had put down my camera for 2 months.

My FZ10 was replaced 3 weeks ago, so the counter was on zero. Now it's on 884, so I've taken 42 pictures a day on average.

41 days, 4300 pictures.

= 105 a day.

But 1100 of that was for a wedding. So 3200 in 39 days normally. Still what, 80/day?

I have had my 10D for about 300 days and I have taken about 18000+ Photographs with that camera. so...

18000/300 = 60 photos a day.

However I only noramlly shoot at weekends so it works out closer to 200 per day.

It's good to know your camera is still going strong after 18k shots!
