Last night I had a dream where I was sitting in the house talking to someone when I looked out and saw a dramatic scene. There was a lone, snow-covered mountain glowing gold in the sunset. The sun was nearly set behind it (ya, the physics of the light doesn't quite make sense here), but the sky had already taken on a dusky, electric blue. Finally, the moon had risen to the right of the sun and was fully up before the sun had set. It was bright and full (another impossibility). I knew this was a site to behold and grabbed my camera, snapped a few shots just before the sun completely set and the moment was gone. I was so elated on capturing what was bound to be an iconic shot for history.
I looked down at my camera...the lenscap was on.
WTF?
When I woke, I was happy it was a dream because I was sooo disappointed a having missed the shot. |

I had the same dream, except I was one the mountain naked being one with the beautiful nature scene.
I looked down and noticed someone taking pictures, I thought great, this will be embarrassing. Then I noticed he still had the lens cap on the camera, so it's all good.

So, no dream... The other day I saw a falcon of some sort, and it was literally 20 feet away eating a pigeon that it had caught, I was a little disappointed because I was playing around with "forcing" myself to use "bad" lenses, so I had my 80-200mm EF on the camera, and I knew it was going to hurt the image quality a little, but I went ahead and took many really good shots of it...
...
..
.
Then I realized that I didn't have a memory card in the body. .. I wish it had been a dream I think. |

I've done that too many times -- I finally set the camera so that I couldn't shoot without a card. It was too depressing.

| Wow, camera anxiety dreams! I've had one several times where I've realized I left my camera somewhere. Too close to real life. Whenever I don't see my camera in its usual spot at home, I get a little jolt of fear until I find where I left it. |

I have dreams like that all the time. Where I see an amazing landscape shot, and then I can't get the shot because either the lens cap is on, clicking the shutter button doesn't do anything, or the sun sets or scene is ruined in the 10 seconds it takes me to lift the camera.
It's very frustrating.
Incidentally, it is just as frustrating to get awesome shots and then to wake up and know its a dream. Couple of nights ago I had a dream that I was photographing orca whales jumping, backlit by a beautiful sunset. I was sooooooo disappointed when I woke up. |

| With 011111 and 111111 occurring this year, we may all have strange dreams, or more likely, realities which seem like dreams/nightmares. |
