Hi there frieds from DPChallenge.
I took this weekend my first butterfly shots. I would aprecciate if you could comment on it. Be as hard as you want. It's only with mistakes that we can evolute and learn with them.
I was in the garden of a friend of mine, by the pool, and I realize that a bunch of butterflyes where playing in the garden. I went for the camera and got back to the butterflyes.
My camera has a big zoom (10x) but if I zoom in a lot at close subjects it gets hard to focus. So it was difficult to get a clear shot. And the butterflyes did't colaborate a lot. They just wount stop junping in to the next flower.
But even so I manage to get a few shots. Please tell me what you think and what can I do to do better.
Tank's in advance.

HI :) I think your photos are great. I especially like the 3rd one. I also own a camera like yours, did you use the macro setting to take the last photo? Looks Good!
Cheers
Dana

I used macro settings in all of the photos. In some, I don't recall witch, I used manual focus, but as you might notice ours manual focus is almoust impossible to use because it does not have a distance indicator or the centre of the picture enlarged. So a bit (or a bunch) of luck is needed.

Very nice, yet strangely familiar...
Color and focus are good. They seem a little overexposed from the harsh midday sun (mine has the opposite problem). You might be able to use manual focus at 10x to get closer. |
