Now that I finally am up to date on the technology front, I am trying to overcome a few minor hurdles.
Basically my Nikon software doesn't work with Mac. So I use iPhoto to download, flag, convert and export photos to Photoshop. Fine and dandy.
But what really ticks me off is that iPhoto does not recognize photos that were locked in-camera. So this means I have to get the file # off of locked files off the camera, then find and flag the same file in iPhoto. This is a tedious and pretty stupid step that I would love to eliminate.
Any suggestions? |

Put the card in a card reader and drag and drop the photos onto your hard drive. If the photos are still locked, I think you should be able to fix that first using File Info ...
We always recommend the drag and drop method anyway for anything DPC-related so that you eliminate the risk of inadvertently tagging your original with some software, which would invalidate it as an "unaltered original." |

| ...and uhmm sadly no it doesn't seem to. Locked images show up just fine in Nikon Transfer and Nikon View, but not here. Ah well, it was worth a try :0 |

| Why do you have them locked on the card, and how many such pictures are there? |

I tend to lock them mostly so I don't delete them accidentally while chimping, and there are probably about 50 from this particular batch that are locked. |

| Maybe if you can sort them by whether they are locked, you could put them all in one folder, unlock them all at once and copy them, then re-lock if necessary. |

| Hey all, thanks for the input. I'll give some of your suggestions a try once I get home from work. |
