...sad thing is that the public had to pay for his medical treatment, will have to pay for his incarceration and in all likelihood will have to support his family during his stay in jail...assuming of course they weren't doing that all along.

But it is funny , eh

I once heard of another foolish thief. He broke into a Dry Cleaners unaware that he was NOT alone. Once inside, he quickly turned around and tried to get back through the window he had just come through but he got stuck. After calling the police to report a burglary, he waited for them to arrive and rescue him. It seems that once he got inside he found that LOTS of teeth were staring at him, in the form of a large doberman.

The dog nipped and bit at him as he waited for the police to pull him out of the high window he was now stuck in. Without the butt of he pants and only part of the legs left, they rescued him after they stopped laughing.

Not limited to just crooks, The Darwin Awards always make excruciatingly unbelievable reading.
