I'm pretty happy at the moment cus one of my photos I entered in to young photographer of the year for NSPCC has been shortlisted with 14 other entries :D

This competition was also recommended by another DPC'er so thanks :)

My picture's called 'Crown' and at the bottom right:

The results were announced and unfortunately I didn't win or get runners up, but I did come in the top 15 of 600 photos that were entered! I'm really proud of that!

Thanks for the kind words, anyhow :)

15th in a nationwide contest is outstanding -- congratulations!

I though, in checking out several of the site's pages, never once could I find the acronym NSPCC elaborated, or their site linked-to. Those of us across the water from you (everyone in the world) may not be familiar with that organization. Seems odd for an otherwise good-looking site ...

NSPCC stands for The National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children and is very big over here in the UK. I couldn't even find the elaboration on their website!
I haven't entered anymore than this one, but apparently NSPCC do quite a few competitions (not just for u18's) that are sponsored by photobox. I think its just promotion for their charity as they rely (I think) on public donations.

Thanks for the nice words everyone :D
