So, I have an entry for both the Life and the Motion Blur challenge, and am having an awful time deciding which to enter.
Basically, one is the higher quality image but has a mediocre tie to the challenge theme. And the other fits the challenge theme amazingly but isn't such a high quality image.
Would one or two people be willing to take a look for me, and help me decide which challenge I should enter?
As always, I would be happy to return the favor to anyone who needs an opinion on their piece. |

Happy to give you my opinion if you like. Of course I won't vote on it once you've entered. However, without even seeing the images my first reaction would be to advise you to enter the higher quality image (assuming of course that it will not be a complete shoehorn for the challenge).

My experience has been that having the wow factor is more important to the average vote than fitting the topic perfectly, as long as most people will see your connection. More people will low vote for a mediocre image than will low vote for a thin connection to the topic.

Haha, the problem is that its my bad image that has the wow factor, it just doesn't quite have the image quality to back it up.
That is what is making this so hard to decide.
If it was just an advanced editing challenge, I could easily fix the problems with the image, Sigh |

I'm not sure any picture will score really well if the quality isn't up there it doesn't matter how much of a wow factor or how on theme it is. But it depends on what kind of score you are looking for. This one I felt was on theme and had that wow factor but the quality just wasn't there. I did pretty well with a 5.8 and 2 favorites. But it is hard to get in the 6 range with a low quality image.
By the way, I have sort of a similar problem. My image could fit into blur or life. I can't decide which to enter it in. I think the image celebrates life beautifully, but there is the motion blur(which was intentional but will people be forgiving of that?) or do I enter it into the motion blur I know there will be much stronger examples of motion blur. So I chose life. Hopefully it was the right decision.

Thanks Qiki for the insight!
Looking for one or two more people to look at my images. And as said I would happily look at yours (and of course not vote for them, as you shouldn't vote for mine) |

I unfortunatly have no photo for those challenges but I'll give you my sincere opinion if you show me your photos. |
