Of course, while trying to get a decent fireworks shot I did just get what would have been a good entry for Newspaper, assuming you consider the National Enquirer a newspaper:

No Confirmation From Rev. Jackson But ...

Our fireworks are pretty simple around here -- nothing too fancy...

Here is my first try at photographing fireworks. Nothing spectacular, just experimentation. Here in Naples, Italy, the Navy base celebrated Independence Day on July 2nd, go figure. The fireworks show wasn't the best I've seen.

macy's 4th of july fireworks in nyc, let me know what you guys think, heavily cropped due to a giant size head being in every picture, and contrast adjusted

it worked for me, what browser are you using? I have IE, are you on Dial up?

I have IE also, and I'm not on dial-up (Roadrunner.) I'm still just getting the Lycos bar on the right and a big black page in the main section. It keeps telling me there's one more item to come up, but after waiting 2-3 minutes, I'm still getting nothing. Oh well :(

it worked for me, what browser are you using? I have IE, are you on Dial up?

I got up a bit late today, LOL... Here are my efforts from last night.
They were taken at Hartford, WI, a small town 35 miles NW of Milwaukee.

Heres my collection..first time using a tripod for fireworks.

Next time I sit further away or get a wider angle lens...I guess I was about 60 yards from where they were being fired from.

These are from Centennial Park, Atlanta. All the shots were 1 second long.


How did you all get such a clean black backdrop without the smoke clouding things up?

The fireworks photos aren't really anything to write home about, but I sorta like the first 7 or so.

I couldn't take pictures of the fireworks as they were cancelled. We had a serious storm that started around 9pm. and the fireworks were scheduled for 10pm. We had winds up to 70mph and 1" hail. And now more problems arise as my husband was working at the Nascar Races in Kansas City and has no come up missing. It has been 25 hours since he started missing. His unit (army) is trying all they can do to find him and right now I just need some support. I am in a panic....So fireworks..well..are the least of my worries. But great pictures everybody!!

Didn't get a lot of good shots, as I wasn't feeling well, and there aren't a lot of fireworks around here... but I liked this one. :)

it was my first time taking pictures of fireworks as well, i liked these.
