Our very impetuous Strikeslip made the mistake of entering into a side bet (in the triptych challenge) with a determined bear (me), who then mauled him convincingly. Per the term of the bet, he had to wear a bear-promoting slogan as his signature for the month.
Now, it wasn't made clear at the time whether the month was "the month of November" or "the next 30 days", but Slippy's been such a good sport I am tempted to let him off the hook as of 1 December, instead of forcing him to stay signatorily-encumbered through 12/15/2010.
I leave it to the good members of DPC to decide his fate, such as it is; speak up here, or forever hold your peace. Please give your reasoning as you record your opinion in this thread. Slippy's holiday signature, after all, is in your hands.

Aw, let him out of it. He's been a great sport about the whole thing. Besides, he'll post something even more entertaining in the forums soon enough.

I don't know...
I don't view things with signatures turned on. So I think I should turn them on now -- and so we have to start the month from this point. :)

Oh, I don't know. There should be a balance in nature.

You are saying Slippy is The One who will bring balance? So the prophecy IS true!
...I guess I should go see what his signature says. |

I think we need to hear directly from you, sir: may we have your Plea for Clemency, please? It will be important to us as we evaluate the situation and make our decision.

Langdon recycled the challenge of triptych
Winning the bet with Bear would be a fun trick
Slippy loves his snot
DPC likes it not
Grant mercy to the user of the nose pick

Oh MAN, this is a tough choice. Let's see,
-reward good behavior on DPC? Absolutely.
-acknowledge that Slippy exhibited good behavior? You bet.
-encourage future good behavior from Skippy? This is where I get conflicted... |

Why would you want to do this? He's at his best when stirring the pot.

46 minutes remain in which to determine Slippy's immediate fate. We have 1 in favor of letting him off the hook, 3 in favor of keeping him on the hook, and 2 basically waffling on the issue. So, as things stand, he'll have to suffer until 15 December, unless I go into unilateral clemency mode or a late groundswell of compassion reverses the current trend.
What say ye all?

I still say let him off the hook, but you can twist it a little bit first.

Ah, the heck with it. Put him back on the streets. CLEMENCY GRANTED! Your signature is yours again, slipmeister.
