That was my thought as well. The easy topic should encourage a lot of participation for this one.

Those were the days, 356 entries in OC2, a members-only challenge no less. That's more than we ended up with in the October FS...

I'll have to ask Rush Limbaugh if he'll sit for a portrait. |

Not even a fish-eye from a mile could get a head shot on that village idiot. |

I am in. My subject is way off center, just like Obama's ears.... one goes to China, other somewhere in Florida! |

well i only re-signed up because of one challenge i saw that caught my eye; I love the photography on here and watch a lot but... as a single parent and the way the economy is = hard to rationalize spending $ on a site like this when I am only an average photographer...
perhaps ppl have tightened their purse-strings and when economy loosens up ppl will re-join/ sign in for challenges etc more?
just a guess...
I am in this challenge... i expect a 4.5 to maybe a 5.5 if I'm fortunate... |

I am in! That doesn't mean I won't re-edit it a million times before the deadline. Still not sure about the direction I went with the edit, I like it but, I can already see the negative comments coming in.
P.S. If you put Rush Limbaugh on the right side of the photo and Obama on the left side you will end up with a very nice photo with neither of them in it. |

politics all aside...
I'm waiting to see how bad mine tanks in this challenge...
tho i am pondering taking this little mini -series i did egged on by this challenge of course... to the print-shop and getting some framed and putting them in a local coffee-shop for sale... hmm... i shall wait to see how badly i do in this challenge first... i still predict between 4 and maybe a 5.5 if I'm extremely fortunate and the voters are kind and generous..... |

I'm in too. Not sure how this will score, but I like it so that is all that matters. :)

I went out today for this and shot some incredibly boring images that are off center. After forcing one and paying for it in the complimentary colors challenge I'm not sure I want to do that again. I hope something more interesting turns up tomorrow. |

I'm out shooting for this and Reflection this weekend. I'm trying something a little different... I'm not going to take hundreds of shots, so I have to spend more time on composition and less on sifting through candidates. |

Not sure if I succeeded in "trying something a little different", as I still came back with 228 shots on my walk today. However, I did select about 60 to do some initial simple post-processing (contrast/brightness). I don't think that percentage of "decent" candidates usually catch my eye on my typical outings. |

Excited to be submitting again, even if my free study was the worst ever! Realised that I don't stand a chance with advanced editing as I have no idea past the basics...well, it's fun anyway.

I'm in !
I've spent more than one hour deciding which photo to submit, what a waste of time ! Tomorrow I'll think that the other one was better... lol
....
I just have found the solution : one goes to off centered and the other one to the free study !
I know it's quite like a suicide but...
Now talking seriously, I feel obliged to participate, many of you have made a great effort and I owe you much for this.
I still don't remember well all the options when I do the editing but I try to do my best, for me and for you, I hope that soon you'll see an improvement in my photography.

I'm in. People will find it dull. It's not the shot I wanted to do for this challenge -- but the time tables never worked for the shot that I wanted.
But, I'm in anyway.

I hear you, it was suppose to snow. I had a great shot planned. Then it didn't. Of course it doesn't snow when you want it to, then when you need a nice sunny day it snows or rains in buckets full. Hopefully, I will show mother nature and get a good score despite the lack of help from her. |

I'm sure I'll have something out of the 2,040 photos I shot yesterday. Sorting out the keepers now.

ok, here's the thing about the name of this challenge.
"Center" is a noun and a verb. In order to say something is in the center, you make the verb into an adjective thus: "centered"
If you want to say something is not in the center, you say that it is "off center." The "off" makes it an adjective phrase.
Therefore, "off centered" is meaningless jibberish.
I am highly offended, but will still enter this challenge under protest. |
