Here's a shot I did a while back on the purple theme. I'm sure I won't replicate for the challenge, but I thought I'd toss it out there for comments. This was before I understood that all you people with Windows and/or uncalibrated monitors see my pics as too dark, so I'm guessing it doesn't pop as much as it should.

Now to come up with a purple idea for this challenge...not easy!

I was going to do something almost exactly like this! Hmmm, I still may. I am working up ideas....

Bad news, Will. I'm on a Macintosh with a calibrated Sony FW900 monitor and your picture is too dark (looks like she has a mouthful of tar). Make sure your preview in Photoshop's Proof Setup> Monitor RGB.

Other than that, it's a nice composition and expressive pose. Focus and exposure look good, too. I'm not totally sold on the cold light (though it may have been intentional for mood) If you have Photoshop CS, try running this image through the Adjustments> Photo Filter and see what happens. I'll bet you get a brighter purple, and a more pleasing image.

I am on a mac (at work) and the purple looks really nice. Dark, but not too dark. I really like it.
