Great idea! Maybe I'll even try the effort in making a kind of "ethnographic" study of my street..;)
Here's some I already got taken in my street or in buildings or places along the street. I'll try to get some more and specifically shoot for this SC.

I started this SC to encourage myself and others to take photos. One time (and happens from time to time) I have this "pause" moment which stopped me taking any pictures (out of ideas). If you keep you camera with you, and just look around while you're walking on a street, any street, you can find endless subjects that you can take pictures of...
Unfortunately my images are not here anymore, I rotate my images often to keep my eyes fresh. It is important "for me" to see new photos on my profile to keep "myself" motivated.
So, if you like the idea, join and post your photos. Also, check other photos, which are still here, to see what other people are seeing on their streets :) |

I saw this thread and had to try it out. I had both kids with me, so it was hard to try to focus on anything other than them. I only had a chance to fire off 5 shots and these are those 5. I will definitely be trying this again once my husband comes back from the field and I can go out and explore!

Resurrection of this thread probably is a good thing.
Anyone in? this is not a voted challenge, open for everyone. Just to encourage you (if you need it) to go out and find something to take photos of in your street. Closeups, wide opens, BWs. |
