Just a quick question about the basic editing rules:
If you duplicate the background layer and then do a legal effect to the duplicate. Then, use "multiply" for the layers. Is that within "basic editing" rules? I'm just confused by the phrasing of only adjustment layers being allowed.

Nope, that is not allowed. You cannot use any blending modes in basic. All layers must be in normal mode only. |

Oh ok, I misunderstood. For some reason I thought I can't do that in basic challenge. I've read the rules over and over but I am pretty confused for being a beginner in photography. |
