I suspect the trolls tactical voters will pass soon.

Someone is playing games and adjusting votes wildly. I just jumped from 5.29 to 5.68 in one vote, which according to the magic spreadsheet is a vote of 18.

Or... SCs just deleted someone "1"s all together. They are watching the voting, if someone gives straight "1" to everyone, it won't count... same as "10" for everyone, and those votes get deleted.

mine jumped up quite a bit, but the next vote was a 4 :(

Forget it, Im done keeping track of this. Voters are being fickle

Well, there was a challenge earlier this year where one of the regulars passed out all 1's and 2's, then revised his votes to 9's and 10's, then admitted it and apologized in the score thread and revised back to whatever his real vote was. I forget who it was.

I just jumped up from a 5.07 to a 5.3 - at this rate I should have a 7 when the challenge rolls over!! Lol

That is why I normally wait a few days to do my voting. It normally takes me a two or three days to vote because of time. My normal way of voting is to run through all the photos and give them either 3, 5, or 7. Then I go back thru the 3's and adjust accordingly, then I do the 5's and finally the 7's. It is just easier for me to separate them into 3 groups (bad, average, wow). By waiting a few days to start my voting it don't have a big impact on the score.

Voting based on how you like the thumbs? That's just wrong, although I think it's more common than anyone will admit. My point is, if you are going through the images and looking at the full size view and then going back to look at the full size again, then your claim to time efficiency seems flawed.

I look at the full size and I never said it was about efficiency. It is just easier for me to separate out the photos into 3 different groups and just concentrate on those groups one at a time to make comments and give what to me is a correct score. I may catch a lot of flak about this but I only give one 10 per challenge. I feel that each challenge is a contest and there can be only one winner. For this reason separating the photos like I do makes it easier for me to just look at the ones that got a 7 to figure out which one I think is the best of the challenge.

Other theory is a couple (or a few) members got together to have some fun keep changing votes from 1 to 10 (and other way) at the same time... it could happen with this kind of crazy bunch :-P

A thought - keep track of all the ones you think you're getting in voting and see how many you actually end up with.

heheh, just split them out into 8s 9s and 10s, that'll work!

There have been a number of times that I thought that people got together to play mind games. There have been too many challenges that I've received a 1 followed immediately by a 10 (or vice-versa). I assumed it was too people deciding it was a 5 photograph, and doing it creatively.

I obsess the first day. Fascinated if it's a high score, feverishly hoping it changes if it's a low score. The lower scoring challenges are much more relaxing. If the score sucks, I don't really bother with the update button :)

I just went viewed all the images and I cannot say that any deserved a 1. Some good ones in this challenge.

I have seen very few images on this site that deserve a 1, but unfortunately, we all get them. And, I agree, there are some nice shots in this challenge.

ok, someone is toying with the votes. Now mine has dropped by .24 with no additional votes. Bleh. I guess it wont matter until the end.

Just dropped .23 with no new votes. It shows up that my last score changed from a 6 to a -3.

I hope the people who've been playing the games are enjoying themselves. I'm going to go turn off the scores for awhile, because they've taken the fun out of this for me. Too difficult of a day to deal with it.
