I think (or thought) it was a good idea for a universal login of sorts.

But I am very skeptical of the "permissions" you give to use a shared login. Check this out. I go to JPG mag, it says "Hey Facebooker! Login with your Facebook account and start sharing!"

Sounds good and easy, right? Now, you are on facebook. The acknowledgement question is:

JPGMag.com is requesting permission to do the following:

Access my basic information
Includes name, profile picture, gender, networks, user ID, list of friends, and any other information I've shared with everyone.

Send me email
JPGMag.com may email me directly at [email address removed]·

Post to my Wall
JPGMag.com may post status messages, notes, photos, and videos to my Wall

Access my data any time
JPGMag.com may access my data when I'm not using the application

Emphasis mine. Who are they kidding? I need to give permission for all that just to share the login?

unfortunately that looks like a standard statement with any third party application connecting facebook!
All the iphone apps I have come across, you know where you take pictures from your phone and upload it directly to facebook & twitter has that same statement..

Its scary!

ETA : Thanks for your help with suggestion on the trip, we ended up heading towards Dacks .. although next day I realized 30 min drive to a beautiful park close to Syracuse was more fulfilling (in terms of fall colors) than the 3 hour trip that we took :)

speaking of trips -- Hey Neil, did you do your trip to Ithaca? Which gorges did you pick?

Great--we did Taughannock (my first time there) and Watkins Glen (first time there)...both incredible places.

We also did Buttermilk Falls (I was there a couple of years ago), a great photo hike, and of course Ithaca Falls.

I'll post some pics after I decide what I'm using for the monthly FS!
