I've had a photo-a-day blog with Blogger since 2006. They recently changed the way you upload photos. It's been nothing but a hassle for me. I have to log out every day if I want to upload photos, if I don't I get a "server error" on the photos I am trying to upload. In the past couple of days I've noticed that the quality of the photos looks like crap - fuzzy & blurry. I am using the medium size (as always) but I thought if I switched to a larger size photo to display it would get better. It doesn't. I tried to have the original size displayed but Blogger changed the format of the photos (making them all portrait orientation and thereby cutting off parts of landscape oriented photos).
I see that they will be down for maintenance tomorrow so I really hope they straighten things out.
Is anyone else having problems with Blogger?

I am always having a problem with Blogger. In regards to pictures, I have trouble usually with them uploading a picture, not with it being blurry.
But plenty of other problems too, like comments being lost.
I hope that your problem has been solved with their update.

Do NOT get me started...
Oh, too late. Blogger, in their ongoing war with splogs, does a wide-sweep suspension of blogs suspected (or reported) as spam or porn farms. My two blogs got swept up in that sweep and have been deleted - apparently permanently. One was a journal of my cancer journey, the other a tango-related philosophy site... After three weeks of trying to get my blogs back (all to absolutely NO avail), I've decided to let go and move on - to another blogging host. |
