Don't drop it in the ocean?

(Sorry, that may have been too snarky, given the circumstances of the 50D's demise. I'm sure you would gladly do it again.)

And I bet you thought it would be me.............but Steve beat me to it. :D

Matt

Congrats on the new Camera. Learn the AF settings on it, they are a bit odd for AF selection points(at least to me it is)

*sigh*

I'm still denoising all of the photos that I took at 250 & 400 ISO. I'm kind of working with a technician at canon to figure things out.

I say "kind of", because he asked me to send him files. I told him the converted jpeg with exif files were 12 mb or higher, and that I didn't know whether or not the email program could handle them.

Got an email back from him that said the files didn't make it through, and that they're probably too big for his email system.

BUT HE DIDN'T BOTHER SAYING ANYTHING ELSE! There was no "crop it and send it in", or "send me a disk" or "send in the camera". He simply said his system wouldn't accept the files and left it at that. ARGH!!

I'm glad your 7D is working beautifully. I want to go throw up on mine.

I made them test mine at the shop. When talking to Paul about it, he said that you should take it back to the shop if it was an original or send it into Canon directly. as that should not be happening. I am kinda surprised you have not sent it in before now, as that amount of noise at 400 is obviously a Canon error, or you have a really really terribly crappy card in there

Sorry to hear you're still having issues. How long have you had the camera? Surely you can get it replaced by your retailer as a "lemon".
