I've got a MacBook Pro, and just got a cheap wireless MightyMouse on craigslist. It's had a few years of use on it, but caused the previous owner no trouble such as this. He seemed like an honest guy. The mouse works great, with one problem. Any time I'm downloading something, or uploading photos, or anything else, the mouse cursor gets really slow and bogs around the screen. It become very difficult to control, but the overall speed of the O.S is fine. I though it was the batteries so I replaced them, that did nothing. I tried moving the mouse closer, and all sorts of things, nothing worked. So I did a test, I started the download of Premier Pro from Adobe, and then tried using the touchpad ont he laptop, and a USB mouse, both worked fine. My conclusion is that the wireless signal is somehow disrupting the bluetooth mouse. Loadign a normal webpage is fine, but downloading rom Adobe.com at 2 MB/Sec causes major problems. And uploading especially.

Does anyone know any resolution to this? Or if any other bluetooth mouses such as the MagicMouse work better or the same? Thanks in advance!

Shoulda gone for the new one! ;~)

Do you have a cordless phone nearby that is 2.4 Ghz? Just a thought. Try looking at this list. It might help ya!
Good luck!

You may find a microwave oven will also screw it up.

One thing you could try is to change the wireless channel that your router / laptop use. There are 13 available channels (might only be 11 in the USA)

Use a tool such as inSSIDer (you will have to find a MAC equivalent) which will show all the wireless channels and what sort of interference each is getting - allows you to pick a nice interference free channel.

I used it when my new neighbours router kept knocking my router out. Found a nice unused spot between all my neighbours channels and used that one. Now I'm trouble free.
