Threepenny Review is in newspaper format, but it is actually a wonderful cultural magazine, and it seems every issue has wonderful essays on photography as well as a featured photographer.
Because it tends to only feature one photographer, who is often dead, it's not a likely venue for your work, but how wonderful to get a magazine where photography is held in such high esteem.
As far as getting your photography published, if you don't care about the money, I suggest little literary zines. Just look at this beautiful photo by Nick Hinch (boysetsfire): //nowculture.com/2007/myershinch.htm |

I have quite a few photographs in the first issue of Kerouac's Dog Magazine. . 'An Independently published quarterly, inspired by American writer, Jack Kerouac and the 1950s Beat generation.'. I wish i could say more about it really but i haven't actually seen the issue yet. Hopefully get one soon. Might be worth keeping an eye on for future issues. |
