I went on an ink run for my Canon i9900 just now. I forgot which one ran out and I'm going to be in a crunch, so I planned to buy one of each.
1. Staples:
- Cyan
- Magenta
- Yellow, all three in a happy-pack, good.
- Photo Cyan
- Photo Magenta
- Black ... almost there ...
... just need Red & Green.
Cashier - "Sorry , we don't carry the Red & Green, they're a special order."
Slippy - "You have all the others. They're pretty common colours, don't you agree?"
Cashier - "Would you like me to special order them for you?"
Slippy - "No thanks, I'll try to find them somewhere else."
Cashier - "OK."
Slippy - "I'll be paying in nickels, dimes, and pennies. I don't carry bills."
2. Best Buy... pathetic selection, only the happy pack.
3. Future Shop...
Slippy - "I'm looking for some Red & Green ink for my Canon i9900"
Sales Guy - "Do you know what number that is?"
Slippy - "Six."
We go to take a look.
Sales Guy - "No, we don't have that. How much did your printer cost?"
Slippy - "I'm not buying a new printer!"
Sales Guy - "I'm wondering, because we don't carry the more expensive models."
Slippy - "Oh, around $800 I guess. It was a long time ago. I bought it at a Future Shop. It would be nice if you'd stock supplies for the stuff you sell, sheesh."
Sales Guy - "Oh, yeah, that's too high end for Future Shop. Maybe a camera shop would have it."
Slippy - "Thanks, I'll try that."
4. Some small camera shop on the way to Henry's...
- Red.... check!
- Green... check!
============================
What a pain in my arse! WTF!?!? Why are Red & Green so rare?
