it is a gimmick with very littel use... generally point and shoot cameras are known to have little gimmicks like that..but nevertheless you can never disregard a feature as a bad feature.. the more the merrrier |

I don't have a camera with that feature, but it sounds interesting. I did a web search and found this: "The MultiBurst mode lets you record sixteen frames at high speed. The capture rate is selectable for 7.5fps, 15fps or 30fps via the menu. These 320x240 images are merged into one 1280x960 finished image. When the image is played in-camera it is animated in sequence."
It sounds like you could photograph something moving fairly quickly (say someone performing an extraordinary dive into a pool) and have the motion split into 16 frames. You could even submit it to a challenge since all in-camera effects are legal. I don't know that it would get a ribbon, but can almost guarantee a DQ request!

It allows you to take multiple images without writing to the card between shots. Thus you could turn it on when taking a picture of a batter swinging at a ball. You would get a shot of before the swing, during the swing, and after the swing. Some cameras are faster, but most will take 1.5 - 2 pictures per second until the buffer memory is full (only two shots on my camera).
It should save each frame as a complete picture unless you are talking about a different feature then I'm thinking of. |
