While I was repairing a loose AC plugin I accidentally unplugged the touchpad. I have tried in vain to plug it back in. I can only get the keyboard to lift about an inch so its difficult to get to. Besides buying a USB mouse so any techies have any tricks to get it plugged back in?

Toshiba Satellite laptop. Did I mention what a pain in the butt it is to use tab, ALT and the space bar to navigate? |

Can't help you there. I just disassembled an old MacBook Pro to upgrade the hard drive a DVD drive, but I know nothing of PCs. |

Sounds like you need to search for instructions for removing the keyboard, to give you the working space you need. For example: //www.laptopka.com/2006/04/30/remove-replace-laptop-keyboard-yourself/
