Here is a collection of color photographs (reproductions from color slides) from a long-ago era. I found them so interesting, since we are accustomed to seeing photos from the 30's and 40's in Black and White.

Great pictures... one thing I noticed was that everyone, in all the pictures, is of normal weight. No overweight people. |

You're right. Probably mainly because there were no or very few processed foods (and it was during the Depression).

#66 looks heavy. Probably why she was chosen as rivet installer.

That's a totally fascinating series of photos. It gives such a broad view of the way things were, from major constructions underway, to what was on people's plates. Thank you for sharing the link. |
